“က်ေနာ္တို႔က ၈၈ တည္းက ႏိုင္ငံေရးနယ္ပယ္ထဲမွာ က်င္လည္ခဲ့တယ္။ သူမ်ားလို ေဘာပင္ေတာင္း၊ စာအုပ္ေတာင္း လည္း လုပ္လာတာ မဟုတ္ဘူး။ ဒါေပမယ့္ အသက္အရြယ္နဲ႔ ေခတ္စနစ္အရ ပါတီႏိုင္ငံေရးကို အရမ္း စိတ္ဓါတ္ျပင္းသူေတြေလာက္ပဲ လုပ္ျဖစ္မယ္။ အမ်ားစုက ပါတီႏိုင္ငံေရးထက္ အမ်ိဳးသား ႏိုင္ငံေရးကိုပဲ လုပ္သြားဖို႔ မ်ားတယ္။ NGO လို အသင္းတခုအေနနဲ႔ ဆက္ရွိသြားမွာပါ” ဟု ေျပာသည္။

သို႔ရာတြင္ မည္သူမ်ားက ပါတီႏိုင္ငံေရး လုပ္ေဆာင္သြားမည္ ဆိုသည္႔အခ်က္ကိုမူ ထုတ္ေဖာ္ ေျပာၾကားသြားျခင္း မရွိေခ်။

“ဒီအပိုင္းက ေျပာဖို႔ ေစာေသးတယ္။ အခု လႊတ္ေတာ္နဲ႔ ပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္ဖို႔ လုပ္ေနတယ္။ ဒီထဲကို က်ေနာ္တို႔ေျပာခ်င္တာကို ေျပာႏိုင္ေအာင္ ေဆာင္ရြက္ေနတယ္။ ေနာက္ပိုင္း ႏိုင္ငံေရးစိတ္သန္တဲ့ အခ်ိဳ႕ကလည္း အဲဒီထဲ သြားဖို႔ ျပင္မွာပါ။ ဒါ အဖြဲ႔ကြဲတာ မဟုတ္ဘူး။ ဒီလိုမ်ိဳး ပါတီႏိုင္ငံေရး မလုပ္ေပမယ့္ အမ်ိဳးသားႏိုင္ငံေရးေတာ့ လုပ္မွာပါ။ ရပ္တည္မႈ ကြဲတယ္ထင္ေပမယ့္ မကြဲပါဘူး” ဟု ေျပာသည္။

NGO လုပ္ငန္းႏွင့္ ပတ္သတ္၍ ေလ့လာမႈမ်ား လုပ္ေဆာင္ေနေၾကာင္း “လက္ရွိ NGO ဆိုတာကို နားမလည္ၾကေသး ဘူး။ NGO ဆိုရင္ ဝန္ေဆာင္မႈေပးတာလို႔ပဲ ထင္ေနၾကေတာ့ ဒါကို ေသေသခ်ာခ်ာေလးလုပ္ျပီး ဥပေဒပါ အခ်က္ေတြ ကို ျပင္ဖို႔ တိုက္တြန္းသြားမွာပါ။ ဒီဥပေဒဟာ အေမွာင္ကာလလို႔ သတ္မွတ္ထားတဲ့ ၁၉၆၂ ေနာက္ပိုင္း ထုတ္ျပန္ထားတဲ့ ဥပေဒပါ” ဟု ကိုကိုၾကီး က ေျပာသည္။

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi next week will take her first trip outside the country to attend the World Economic Forum in Bangkok Thailand while the demonstrations are breaking out some main towns of Burma for power cut of dissatisfactions. U Thein Sein has admitted that his administrators may find it tough to keep up with the pace of his reforms. Tint Swe, an NLD committee member in Mandalay, told Reuters that he and two other party members were picked up by police at around 5 a.m. (2230 GMT on Wednesday) and questioned about who was behind the protests. They were treated well and taken home about five hours later, he said.
The demonstrations are also taking place as employees of about 10 firms in industrial zones around Yangon have held strikes over pay and labour rights.
It was not clear if the protests over power cuts would fizzle or blow up into a broader show of dissatisfaction.

Rangoon, May 19 : An explosion in Myanmar's northeastern Shan state hit a power grid early Saturday morning, affecting power supply to Yangon, the city's Alone Electricity Supply Board said. စေနေန႔ နံနက္အေစာပိုင္းတြင္ ရန္ကုန္ျမိဳ႔သို႔ တိုက္ရိုက္ဓါတ္အားေပးေနေသာ အဓိက လ်ွပ္စစ္ဓါတ္အားဌာနၾကီးေပါက္ကြဲ

 

The explosion struck the 230-KV power grid lying between Ruili and Mansan which is about 48.27 kilometers from Lashio in northern Shan state.

Due to the explosion, power supply to Yangon's industrial zones will be cut off starting next Monday but alternative supply about five hours' intervals will be made to townships in Yangon, the sources said.

YANGON (AFP) - Ethnic rebels in the far north of Myanmar have urged the United Nations to send observers to monitor fighting with government troops, a Kachin Independence Organisation (KIO) official said on Thursday.ျမန္မာျပည္ေျမာက္ဖ်ားတြင္ တိုက္ခိုက္ေနၾကေသာ ကခ်င္လက္နက္ကိုင္မ်ား၏ ကခ်င္ လြတ္လပ္ရး အစည္းရံုး တာ၀န္ခံအရာရိွမွ ၄င္းတို႔တိုက္ခိုက္ေနရေသာ ျမန္မာစစ္တပ္ႏွုင္႔ျဖစ္ပြါးေနေသာတိုက္ပြဲအား ကမာၻကုလသမဂၢမွ လာေရာက္ေလ႔လာၾကည္႔ရွဳ ဆန္းစစ္ရန္ ဖိတ္ေခၚတိုက္တြန္းထားသည္။

Speaking from Thailand, the KIO's deputy head of foreign affairs, Colonel James Lum Dau, confirmed the request for UN monitors.ကခ်င္ တပ္ဖြဲ႔၏ ႏိုင္ငံျခားေရး လက္ေထာက္တာ၀န္ခံဗိုလ္မွဳးၾကီး ဂ်ိမ္းလြမ္ေဒါင္မွ ၄င္းတို႔၏ ဖိတ္ေခၚစာႏွင္႔ပတ္သက္ျပီး အတည္ျပဳေျပာၾကားသည္။
'It's been 11 months (since fighting resumed) and we want UN observers to go to see the reality of what's happening there,' he said. 'We need someone without bias.' Obama maintains US sanctions on Myanmar

President Barack Obama on Thursday extended US sanctions against Myanmar, warning that despite progress on human rights and governmental reform, a political opening in the country remained "nascent."

Obama's move came despite calls from some business and political leaders in the United States, Europe and Asia for sanctions to be lifted to spur further reforms by Myanmar's nominally civilian government under President Thein Sein.

But democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi, who for years led opposition to Myanmar's former military junta, warned this week that change was not irreversible in Myanmar and cautioned about excessive optimism.

Obama said Myanmar had made progress in a number of areas including by releasing political prisoners, pursuing cease-fire talks with ethnic groups and by opening dialogue with Aung San Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy.

"Burma has made important strides, but the political opening is nascent, and we continue to have concerns, including remaining political prisoners, ongoing conflict, and serious human rights abuses in ethnic areas," he said.

"I have determined that it is necessary to continue the national emergency with respect to Burma and to maintain in force the sanctions that respond to this threat," Obama said in a message to Congress using Myanmar's former name.

US law requires the US president to restrict imports from Myanmar, which for decades was ruled by a military junta but is now under civilian rule and bans US investment and export of financial services to the country.

It also blocks property and assets of certain members of the Myanmar ruling class.

Obama's administration has championed dialogue with Myanmar but has been cautious about a full lifting of sanctions, saying it needs to preserve leverage to encourage change.

Hillary Clinton made the first visit to Myanmar by a US secretary of state in December, and the two countries are moving towards exchanging ambassadors.

Obama's announcement was published hours before talks at the State Department between Clinton and Myanmar Foreign Minister Wunna Maung Lwin.

It also took place on the eve of the G8 summit at Camp David, Maryland, which Obama will host and is likely to include discussion about how to promote reform in Myanmar.

ကြၽန္ေတာ္က အန္တီစုနဲ႔ ေရႊမင္းသားေဖာင္ေဒးရွင္း (ဥကၠ႒) ဦးျမတ္သူဝင္းတြဲေနတဲ့ ပံုကိုလုိခ်င္လုိ႔ ဓာတ္ပံု ႐ိုက္ဖုိ႔သြားတာ အဲဒါကို သူက ကင္မရာကိုင္တဲ့ လက္ ကို ႐ိုက္ခ်တယ္။ ဓာတ္ပံုမ႐ိုက္နဲ႔လုိ႔ မင္းကို ဘယ္ႏွစ္ခါေျပာရမလဲလို႔ ကြၽန္ေတာ့္ကို ေျပာတယ္။ ကြၽန္ေတာ္က ဒီဓာတ္ပံုက အေရးႀကီးတယ္။ အမ်ားျပည္သူသိခ်င္ေနတဲ့ ဓာတ္ပံုျဖစ္တယ္ဆိုတာ သူကို ရွင္းျပၿပီးျပန္ထြက္ ခဲ့တယ္။ အဲဒီမွာ သူက ကြၽန္ေတာ္ေနာက္ကုိ အတင္းလုိက္ လာၿပီး UMFCCI ထဲက အိမ္သာထဲကို ေခၚၿပီး ကြၽန္ေတာ္ ရင္ဘက္ကို ေဆာင့္ေဆာင့္တြန္းတယ္။ ၿပီးေတာ့ မင္းက ဘာေကာင္မုိ႔လုိလဲ ငါတုိ႔က ႏုိင္ငံေရးကုိ ေထာင္က်ခံ ၿပီးလုပ္လာတာ။ မင္းတို႔ ဂ်ာနယ္လစ္ေတြဆိုတာ ပိုက္ဆံရဖုိ႔ လုပ္ေနတာ မင္းအယ္ဒီတာခ်ဳပ္ကုိ ဒီအတုိင္းေျပာ လုိက္လုိ႔ ေျပာတယ္၊ ၿပီးေတာ့ ဆဲဆိုႀကိမ္းေမာင္းၿပီး ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႔ကို ဓာတ္ပံု႐ိုက္သြားတယ္။

NLD ဆုိတာ အမ်ဳိးသားဒီမိုကေရ စီေခါင္းေဆာင္ ေဒၚေအာင္ဆန္းစုၾကည္ဦးေဆာင္တဲ့ ပါတီျဖစ္ေတာ့ ကြၽန္ေတာ့္အေနနဲ႔ ေလးစားမႈရွိတယ္။ ဒါေပမဲ့ ပါတီထဲက လူတစ္ေယာက္က မီဒီယာသမားေတြကို ဒီလုိဆက္ဆံ တာ မျဖစ္သင့္ဘူး။ ပါတီဝင္တစ္ေယာက္က ဒီလုိေျပာ ၾကားေပမယ့္ NLD က ေျပာတယ္လုိ႔ မခံယူပါဘူး။ ဒီလုိ လူမ်ဳိးေတြ NLD ပါတီဝင္ထဲမွာ ရွိေနတာေတာ့ ေသခ်ာ စိစစ္ေပးဖို႔ လိုတယ္။

မီဒီယာသမားအကုန္လံုးကို ေျပာလုိက္တယ္လုိ႔ အစ္ကို အေနနဲ႔ ဘာေၾကာင့္ ယူဆတာလဲ။

သူေျပာလုိက္တာကိုက ငါတုိ႔ ႏိုင္ငံေရးလုပ္တယ္ ဆိုတာ ပိုက္ဆံတစ္ျပားမွ မရဘဲ ေထာင္က်ခံၿပီး လုပ္ ေနတာ။ မင္းတုိ႔ဂ်ာနယ္လစ္ဆုိတာက ပိုက္ဆံလုိခ်င္လို႔ လုပ္ေနတာ ဒီစကားကုိ ေျပာကတည္းက မီဒီယာအကုန္ လံုးသိမ္းႀကံဳးၿပီး ေျပာတယ္လို႔ ေပၚလြင္ေနပါတယ္။

ကြၽန္ေတာ္တုိ႔လုိခ်င္တာက ကြၽန္ေတာ္တုိ႔ကို ေတာင္း ပန္ဖုိ႔မဟုတ္ဘူး။ ကြၽန္ေတာ္တို႔ မီဒီယာသမားေတြဆုိတာ သူေျပာသလို ပိုက္ဆံရဖုိ႔တစ္ခုတည္းအတြက္ အလုပ္လုပ္ေနတာ မဟုတ္ဘူး။ ကိုယ္ရဲ႕ ဝါသနာကို အရင္း ခံၿပီး အမ်ားျပည္သူေတြ သိသင့္တဲ့ အေၾကာင္းအရာေတြ ကို စာမ်က္ႏွာေပၚက တဆင့္ တင္ျပေနတယ္ဆုိတာ သိေစခ်င္တယ္။

သူက NLD ပါတီဝင္ဆုိၿပီး မာန္တက္ေနတယ္။ အားလံုးက လူေတြပဲ လူကို လူလုိ႔ တန္ဖုိးထားၿပီး ဆက္ ဆံေစခ်င္တယ္။ အခုေတာ့က သူက ဆဲဆုိၿပီး ကိုယ္ထိ လက္ေရာက္က်ဴးလြန္တာ မျဖစ္သင့္ဘူး။ ဒါကို သူတုိ႔ ဘက္လူႀကီးေတြ အေနနဲ႔လည္း အဲဒီလိုမ်ဳိးေတြ မျဖစ္ ေအာင္ လက္ေအာက္ငယ္သားေတြကို နည္းနည္းပါးပါး ေျပျပထားသင့္တယ္။ တျခားပါတီေတြမွာ ဒါမ်ဳိးမေတြ႕ ဖူးဘူး။ ကြၽန္မအေနနဲ႔ ဒါပဲ ေျပာခ်င္ပါတယ္။
