Rangoon, May 19 : An explosion in Myanmar's northeastern Shan state hit a power grid early Saturday morning, affecting power supply to Yangon, the city's Alone Electricity Supply Board said. စေနေန႔ နံနက္အေစာပိုင္းတြင္ ရန္ကုန္ျမိဳ႔သို႔ တိုက္ရိုက္ဓါတ္အားေပးေနေသာ အဓိက လ်ွပ္စစ္ဓါတ္အားဌာနၾကီးေပါက္ကြဲ

 

The explosion struck the 230-KV power grid lying between Ruili and Mansan which is about 48.27 kilometers from Lashio in northern Shan state.

ရွမ္းျပည္ေျမာက္ပိုင္းလားရွဳိးျမိဳ႔နယ္မွ ၄၈ ဒသမ ၂၇ မိုင္ေ၀းေသာ မန္းဆန္ ႏွင္႔ လြိဳင္လင္အၾကားတြင္ရိွေသာ အဓိက ဓါတ္အား 230 ကီလို၀ပ္ ထုတ္လုပ္ေသာ စက္ရံုဌာနၾကီး ေပါက္ကြဲေၾကာင္း သိရသည္။

Due to the explosion, power supply to Yangon's industrial zones will be cut off starting next Monday but alternative supply about five hours' intervals will be made to townships in Yangon, the sources said.

အဆိုပါေပါက္ကြဲမွဳေၾကာင္႔ လာမည္႔ တနလ္ာေန႔မွစ၍ ရန္ကုန္တိုင္းေဒသတြင္းမွ စက္မွဳဇံုအားလံုးတို႔အား ျဖတ္ေတာက္မည္ဟုသိရသည္၊ သို႔ရာတြင္ အဆိုပါလ်ွပ္စစ္ဓါတ္အားေပးႏိုင္မွဳကို တရက္လ်ွင္ 5နာရီမ်ွသာေလာက္ အလွည္႔က်ေျပာင္းလဲ၍ရန္ကုန္တိုင္းေဒသတြင္းတြင္ ေဆာင္ရြက္ေပးမည္ဟု ခိုင္မာေသာသတင္းရပ္ကြက္က ဆိုပါသည္။

According to a recent disclosure of the Ministry of Electric Power-2, due to growing number of power users especially state- owned and private factories and workshops, and the increased use of air-conditioners and refrigerators in hot summer apart from longer hour operation of ice factories, the demand has hit 1,890 megawatts (mw) against actual supply of 1,500 mw.

Other statistics show that a total of 1070.6 megawatts (MW) of hydropower-generated electricity are supplied per day to the whole country, of which 529.4 MW are to Yangon.

Meanwhile, Myanmar authorities disclosed that it is planning to buy back electricity generated from the Shweli hydropower project being jointly implemented with Chinese company, aimed at easing Yangon's power shortage.

ယခုေလာေလာလတ္အခ်ိန္တြင္ ရန္ကုန္တိုင္းေဒသ၏ လ်ွပ္စစ္စြမ္းအင္ေလ်ာ႔ပါးျပတ္ေတာက္မွဳအေျခေနအရ ျမန္မာ အာဏာပိုင္မ်ားက တရုပ္ျပည္ႏွင္႔ဖက္စပ္လုပ္ အေကာင္ထည္ေဖၚလုပ္ကိုင္ခဲေသာ ေရႊလီ ဓါတ္အားထုတ္လုပ္ေရးမွ လ်ွပ္စစ္စြမ္းအင္ ျပန္လည္၀ယ္ယူမည္ျဖစ္ေၾကာင္းကို စီစဥ္ေနသည္ဟုလည္း ျမန္မာ အဏာပိုင္မ်ားက ဆိုပါသည္။

According to the authorities, it has bought power from two out of six turbines of the project and that from one more is being planned.
