US eases visa ban on Myanmar(Burma)

United States (US) President Barack Obama on Wednesday waived visa restrictions for Myanmar's leader Thein Sein to visit during next month's United Nations (UN) summit in a show of support for reforms in the country.
Mr Obama ordered an exception in a visa ban on Myanmar's leaders to let Mr Thein Sein travel freely during the UN General Assembly. Mr Thein Sein would otherwise have been confined to a narrow area around the UN headquarters in New York.
Mr Obama made the decision "to signal our interest in engaging more closely with him and his government as they continue to undertake reforms," White House national security spokesman Tommy Vietor said.
"Burma's progress in undertaking political and economic reform has been facilitated, to a large degree, by our increasing engagement with key reformers in the government," Mr Vietor said, using Myanmar's former name.

အဲဒါေၾကာင့္ နယူးေယာက္ၿမိဳ႕မွာက်င္းပမယ့္ ကုလသမဂၢ အေထြေထြညီလာခံကို တက္ေရာက္ဖို႔ သမၼတဦးသိန္းစိန္ လာေရာက္တဲ့အခါ အေမရိကန္ႏုိင္ငံတြင္းမွာ လြတ္လြတ္လပ္လပ္ သြားလာ ခြင့္ရေတာ့မွာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ အဲဒီလိုသာ ေလွ်ာ့မေပးဘူးဆိုရင္ သမၼတဦးသိန္းစိန္ဟာ နယူးေယာက္ၿမိဳ႕က ကုလသမဂၢ ႐ံုးခ်ဳပ္ပတ္၀န္းက်င္တ၀ိုက္မွာပဲ သြားလာခြင့္ရမွာပါ။

ျမန္မာအစိုးရက ျပဳျပင္ေျပာင္းလဲေရးေတြကို ဆက္ၿပီး လုပ္ေဆာင္ေနတာနဲ႔အမွ် သူနဲ႔သူ႔ရဲ႕အစိုးရတို႔ကို ပိုၿပီး အနီးကပ္ ထိေတြ႔ ဆက္ဆံသြားဖို႔ မိမိတို႔ရဲ႕စိတ္၀င္စားမႈကို အခ်က္ျပတဲ့အေနနဲ႔ အိုဘားမားက အခုလိုဆံုးျဖတ္ခဲ့တာလို႔ အေမရိကန္သမၼတ အိမ္ျဖဴေတာ္၊ အမ်ဳိးသားလံုၿခံဳေရးဆုိင္ရာ ေျပာေရးဆိုခြင့္ ရွိသူ တြမ္မ္မီ ဗိုင္တာ (Tommy Vietor) ကိုကုိးကားၿပီး ေအပီသတင္း မွာေရးထားပါတယ္။

ဒါဟာ အလံုးစံု ႐ုပ္သိမ္းေပးလုိက္တာမဟုတ္ဘဲ ဆိုးရြားတဲ့ လူ႔အခြင့္အေရးခ်ဳိးေဖာက္မႈေတြမွာ ပါ၀င္ ပတ္သက္တယ္လို႔ အေထာက္အထားရွိတဲ့ ျမန္မာတာ၀န္ရွိသူေတြအေပၚ အေမရိကန္က ဆက္ၿပီး စိစစ္သြားမွာျဖစ္တယ္လို႔ အိမ္ျဖဴေတာ္ ေျပာေရး ဆိုခြင့္ရွိသူအမ်ဳိးသမီး ကိုင္တ္လင္း ေဟးဒန္န္ (Caitlin Hayden) ေျပာပါတယ္။

သမၼတအိုဘားမားက အခုလို ဆံုးျဖတ္လိုက္တဲ့အတြက္ သမၼတဦးသိန္းစိန္အေနနဲ႔ အေမရိကန္ တာ၀န္ရွိသူေတြနဲ႔ ေတြ႔ဆံုႏုိင္မွာ ျဖစ္ၿပီး သူ႔ရဲ႕ အေမရိကန္ခရီးစဥ္အတြင္း ဒီမိုကေရစီနဲ႔ အေမရိကန္ရဲ႕ မူ၀ါဒေတြကို ပိုၿပီး နားလည္လာႏုိင္ေစမယ္လုိ႔ အမ်ဳိးသား လံုၿခံဳေရးဆိုင္ရာ ေျပာခြင့္ရ ဗိုင္တာ က ေျပာပါတယ္။
